Davidsons Centennial: Beer Wine & Spirits Closer To Home

Friday, December 22nd, 2017

In 2013, Davidsons Beer, Wine, and Spirits of Highlands Ranch came to us with the goal of understanding their relationship with their clients. We conducted in-depth market research to provide a better understanding of the Davidsons brand and business and to find any weak spots in the current strategy.

A Longstanding Partnership

Since then, FiG Advertising + Marketing has developed a complete marketing campaign that included web development, social media, email marketing, search engine marketing, and holiday specials. So when Davidsons had grown so large they needed to open another location, it was a no-brainer – FiG was there to help.

A New Frontier

The location’s Facebook page chronicled everything from the building construction to getting their massive inventory of more than 13,000 products up on the shelves to the new team of expert staff members that would be running things in Centennial. All this led up to Mayor Cathy Noon and a number of other Centennial officials coming to the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new location.

The grand opening of the Centennial location of Davidsons Beer, Wine, and Spirits was earlier this month on December 5th and was a huge success. Rave reviews came in both on and offline from happy customers who were thrilled to find their favorite beverage selections closer to home.

Davidsons Centennial Takes Off

The Centennial location’s website launched alongside the grand opening of the newest branch of Davidsons. Our content specialist worked to create unique and engaging content for the new site that would make it stand apart from the Davidsons Highlands Ranch location’s.

This fully functioning e-commerce site has been thoroughly tagged and optimized to drive traffic to the new location – both physically and online. Since the site launch in early December, we’ve seen more than 200 sessions. This is incredible for a site that’s only been live for a few short weeks and we couldn’t be more excited about the success we are seeing.

Not only is the new site driving traffic successfully, we also see that users are spending more than three minutes on the pages of the Davidsons Centennial website. Typically, you have about 8 seconds to catch a user’s attention and if you can’t do so within that very limited time frame, they will leave. This increased session duration proves the effectiveness of the new site.

Success By The Bottle

Conversions have also started to come in with a number of online sales already being processed, further proving both the effectiveness of the site and the loyalty of the Davidsons customer base.

We are so excited to have taken on the project with our long-time partners at Davidsons and can’t wait to follow the success of the newest location.

Denver Personal Trainer Gets A Branding Face Lift

Friday, December 8th, 2017

Boost 180 Fitness Logo

Run and Find Out What Happens was a fitness company run by personal trainer and running coach Michelle Golla. With goals of increasing her client base, Michelle came to us to determine the best course of action for taking her brand to the next level.

Market Research

In order to determine where a brand needs to go to find success, we have to understand the current brand positioning and that of the competitors in the marketplace. After conducting an in-depth analysis of the personal trainers and other fitness competitors in the Denver area and gathering qualitative data from current and past Run and Find Out What Happens clients, we were able to put together a comprehensive campaign plan.

Re-branding

One of the most overwhelming pieces of data that we collected through our market research was two-fold. First, competitors in the area marketed a wide variety of services, including one-on-one training and group fitness. Second, current and previous clients came to Run and Find Out What Happens for a variety of reasons. Our next step was clear, we needed to expand the brand.

Michelle has certifications as a personal trainer, running coach, and health and wellness expert. She is well versed in fitness through a number of methods and we needed to share that with potential clients. We started by re-naming Run and Find Out What Happens to be more inclusive of the services Michelle was capable of offering.

Boost 180 Fitness Is Born

Our creative team worked to find a name that would encompass the fitness capabilities of personal training and group training, as well as Michelle’s specialized education in running.

Did you know that the optimal running speed requires 180 steps per minute? This little-known factoid drove us in our re-branding of Run and Find Out What Happens.

New Logo, New Color Palette, New Website – Same Personal Trainer

With a new name, came a new logo. Our graphic designer created an abstract representation of the Boost 180 Fitness focus on getting active. The goal of this design was to communicate the simplicity of adding exercise into an everyday routine.

When it came time to select colors that would represent the brand, we knew Boost 180 Fitness would need an appealing palette that was energetic and exciting. The bright colors that were chosen illustrated a fun and laid-back personality that would accurately reflect the brand values.

Finally, it was time to put the brand work into action and develop a brand new website for Boost 180 Fitness. Implementing all of the digital best practices, we developed a comprehensive website that shared the value of working out with Boost 180.

We built out content for personal training, group training, and sports fitness training using keyword research to ensure that potential clients were able to find the site. Additionally, we simplified the site structure for optimal user-friendliness. Then, we instituted a regular blog that lived on the site to keep fresh, relevant content on the page at all times.

We are excited to launch the complete website here in the next few weeks. Check back in a few months to see the results analysis of the Boost 180 Fitness rebranding.

New Branding Client: Variable Steel

Thursday, June 1st, 2017

Variable Steel, a steel fabrication company, was founded by Jesse Tillman and his brother, Vernon in Atlanta Georgia. For the past ten years, the company which fabricates, designs, engineers, and erects steel has grown steadily without the help of any formal branding or marketing.

Word-Of-Mouth Marketing

What’s remarkable about this family-owned and operated business is that it has been garnering projects consistently in the past decade purely by word-of-mouth. With current and former clients like Mercedes-Benz Falcons Stadium, the Birmingham Airport, and NASA, clearly, the word-of-mouth has been working.

Getting To the Next Level

But to get to the next level, Jesse knows he must up their game, so he decided it was time to hire professional marketers. He learned about FiG through the branding and website work we did for Burgess Services. He liked what we did for them, and began talking to us about how to better communicate his company’s value proposition and differentiate his work from his competitors.

Branding: Logo

First, the company wants a new logo that will convey the nature of their company as a critical variable in the overall equation of building construction. FiG’s logo creation process involves translating into a visual image the core values of a company and their unique value proposition. Variable Steel’s new logo will visually convey their commitment to being a partner in problem-solving.

Branding: Website

While the company has grown consistently through word-of-mouth advertising, a website provides further information for prospective customers and opens another avenue by which people can find you. We will create a website for Variable Steel that will spell out what they do, how they do it, and why you should work with them.

Search Engine Optimization

A website is only as good as its search engine optimization (SEO). Without good SEO, your website won’t be found my potential clients searching for your services, no matter how great the site is. FiG will be optimizing the new Variable Steel website so that it gets found in search engines.

We’re psyched to be working with Variable Steel to create a new brand and website for their company. Stay tuned for the fantastic results.
