Sports Brand Development: USA Fencing
USA Fencing (USAF), the National Governing Body for the sport of fencing in the United States, was in need of a brand foundation that would promote their sport with unparalleled consistency and clarity through the independent efforts of fencing club leadership, USAF owned and affiliated events, and USAF communication with their members. To help fulfill the USAF mission “To grow and promote the sport of fencing in the United States, honor its rich traditions, and achieve sustained competitive international excellence”, the creative had to be compelling, impactful, and memorable.
Thanks to our extensive experience within the National Governing Body world, Adrenalin Sports Marketing (a division of Real FiG Advertising + Marketing) was selected to help lead the charge. The team at Adrenalin began by taking a deep dive with USAF staff members to determine the opportunities and parameters by which the work would be created. With help from key members of the USAF staff, Adrenalin created a visual package that honored the rules set forth in the USAF brand guidelines that worked across all platforms as all parties involved collectively promoted the sport across the country.
A brochure (that allowed fencing clubs to make custom edits for their individual needs), print and digital ads, and social media visuals were produced and distributed nationwide by the USAF staff to give clubs the tools they needed to promote America’s most civilized combat sport.
